Mark Sanchez Fantasy Recap: Jets QB Struggles

New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez had another up and down day Thursday as he struggled to get the Jets in the end zone against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Sanchez finished the game with 252 yards and an interception and generally justified why he should be no more than a bench option.

Sanzhez has been no one’s idea of a fantasy stud so far this year. Heading into Week 11, he had been averaging just 231.2 passing yards per game. On the plus side, he had thrown 14 touchdowns, but those were largely off set by his nine interceptions.

In recent weeks, that trend had grown worse. In weeks 9 and 10, Sanchez had thrown two touchdowns and three interceptions. In fact, Sanchez has thrown for at least 200 yards and tossed at least two touchdowns in the same game just twice all year and he hasn't done it all since Week 3. Sanchez's best game since then was his three-touchdown performance against the San Diego Chargers on Oct. 23, but he offset by completing just 18 of 33 passes for 173 yards.
