Fantasy Football Week 11 Advice: Sit/Start Projections For QBs

The bulk of the week 11 NFL schedule is upon us following Thursday's wild Broncos-Jets game. Tim Tebow and the Broncos defense provided the bulk of the fantasy scoring in that game, as Tebow continues to develop into a solid fantasy option. His rushing numbers are such that they make up for his struggles in completing passes.

Week 11 features some significant bye weeks New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Houston and Indianapolis. The big question mark is for folks with Drew Brees sidelined. We are fast approaching fantasy football playoff season, which means teams battling for playoff spots need every man up this week. If you are without Brees or Ben Roethlisberger, or you've lost Matt Schaub for the season, there are some intriguing options for this week.

Alex Smith, 49ers: Over the first nine games of the season, Smith has not put up particularly great numbers. He's had some solid fantasy days, but he hasn't blown up to any particular degree. This week could be his best chance at a monster game. Smith and the 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have won two straight but their pass defense is not particularly good. If the 49ers can continue their strong play, Smith could be in line for a solid performance.

Carson Palmer, Raiders: We've reached the point where Palmer is no longer a sleeper. It is not always going to be pretty, but if you have Palmer on your bench or if he is sitting on waivers, he is a very intriguing option. This week he faces a brutal Minnesota Vikings pass defense that lost one of its top playmakers in Antoine Winfield. Palmer is without Darren McFadden and Jacoby Ford, but Michael Bush remains a beast and Palmer has developed a nice chemistry with rookie Denarius Moore.

Matt Moore, Dolphins: The Dolphins have been playing some solid football lately and welcome Buffalo to South Beach. The Bills should win this game, but it could turn into a bit of a shootout, which means Matt Moore could benefit. It's a roll of the dice with Moore, but he's got some decent upside.
