Fantasy Football Week 11 Advice: Sit/Start Projections For RBs

Week 11 of the 2011 NFL season picks up a few days after Thursday's Broncos-Jets contest that saw second year running back Joe McKnight potentially work his way into the discussion for more carries behind Shonn Greene. It was a fairly ugly game for the most part, otherwise.

Week 11 features four bye weeks, including New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Houston. The most significant running back byes are Texas RB Arian Foster, Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall and Saints running backs Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram. Foster is the biggest loss and owners are likely scrambling to find some talent for this particular bye week. Here are some sleeper options if you are still short a man:

Kendall Hunter, 49ers: Frank Gore was limited in practice this week but is expected to start on Sunday. However, Gore injured his knee and missed the second half of the 49ers game with the Giants. The team also has to play in four days against the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving. If the 49ers can take an early lead, it would not surprise me to see them go to Hunter a bit more than normal.

Chris Ogbonnaya, Browns: Most of the Browns offense is a bad option when it comes to fantasy football. However, the Cleveland Browns will be hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, which could open the door for a solid performance from Ogbonnaya. At the very least, he will be getting the carries, which is more than a lot of players can guarantee.

Here are the top 15 running back projections for today. You can view all the projections at numberFire.com. For more on fantasy football, check out Fake Teams. Follow us on twitter @sbnationfantasy.
