After missing the last three weeks with a calf injury, Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty practiced on a limited basis throughout the week and is listed as "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Montario Hardesty Expected To Start Vs. Bengals
Hardesty is expected to start against the Bengals, who have the NFL’s third-ranked run defense, allowing just 88.6 yards per game.
Prior to his injury, the 2010 second-round pick out of Tennessee had 75 carries for 244 yards. That lead the team at the time of his injury, but journeyman Chris Ogbonnaya, who was signed off the Houston Texans practice squad in October, has rushed for 285 yards, including a 115-yard effort in last week's 14-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ogbonnaya is expected to be the No. 2 running back behind Hardesty.
The Browns felt good enough about the health status of Hardesty and Peyton Hillis that backup running back Thomas Clayton was placed on waivers on Friday.
