Eli Manning Fantasy Recap: Giants QB Tops 400 Yards In Loss

In you look at the box score and not the final score, Eli Manning had an outstanding game for the Giants: he completed 33-of-47 passes (70.2 percent) for 406 yards and two touchdowns. He was nearly perfect in the second half, completing 19 straight passes at one point.

Unfortunately, it was too little too late against the Saints, who won 49-24. Manning started the game with an interception in the end zone, and both of his touchdowns (caught by Victor Cruz) came in the fourth quarter when the game was all but officially decided. The Giants fell to 6-5, losing their third straight. But hey, credit Manning for going down swinging -- or in this case, throwing. Monday's game was the second time in Manning's career that he's topped 400 yards in a game.

Manning has had a solid fantasy season to date, but great stats weren’t exactly a guarantee coming into the Giants’ Week 12 matchup against the Saints. While the Saints’ pass defense is by no means elite, the team was 4-0 at home coming into the game and Manning had thrown at least one interception in his previous three games. Manning had a total of 18 touchdown passes and nine interceptions entering Week 12.
