Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is listed as "Probable" on the team's injury report and is expected to start on Sunday against the New York Jets.
Ryan Fitzpatrick Probable; Expected To Start On Sunday
Fitzpatrick emerged from the Bills' 23-0 win over the Washington Redskins with a chest bruise, which had him limited during both Wednesday and Thursday's practices. Fitzpatrick participated fully on Friday and, barring a setback, will make the start against the Jets, who have the NFL's seventh-ranked pass defense and are tied for fourth in the NFL with 11 interceptions.
Asked earlier in the week if there was any doubt that Fitzpatrick would play on Sunday, Bills head coach Chan Gailey brushed aside talk of the team’s newly-minuted franchise missing the Jets game.
”Not in my mind, his mind or the trainer’s mind,” Gailey said via the team’s official website. “Those are the three most important minds at work.”
The Bills signed Fitzpatrick to a six-year, $59 million contract extension last weekend.
