Josh Freeman Injury Update: Bucs QB Limited In Practice With Shoulder Soreness

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman was limited for the second straight day as he is dealing with shoulder soreness. The Bucs QB has been at practice the last two days but has not been making throws while he tries to get through an issue that first developed this past week against the Tennessee Titans.

Bucs offensive coordinator Greg Olson indicated that Freeman had shown significant improvement since Sunday. However, head coach Raheem Morris said that he was being evaluated each day and could very well be a game-time decision. Freeman has been able to handle handoffs, but not the necessary throws to execute the Bucs game-plan. Once he can do that, Morris will clear him to start on Sunday.

If Freeman sits, backup QB Josh Johnson will get the start. In three seasons, Johnson's most significant playing time came his rookie season in 2009 when he made four starts before being replaced by fellow rookie Josh Freeman. The Bucs face a fairly awful Carolina Panthers pass defense this week.
