Maurice Jones-Drew Fantasy: Four Touchdowns For MJD

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew turned in the biggest fantasy performance of the day as the Jags picked up their first win of the post Del Rio era. MJD rushed for 85 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 51 yards and another two touchdowns.

In a completely lost season, the Jaguars have at least been able to rely on the performance Jones-Drew. Despite playing on one of the NFL’s worst teams, and one that basically lacks a credible passing threat, the diminutive running back has managed to average nearly 115 all-purpose yards per game.

In Week 12, he actually showed signs that he was improving, despite the destitute situation. Against the Houston Texans last week, he 99 yards and picked up another 67 receiving.

Unsurprisingly, he hasn’t really managed to get into the endzone as much as his fantasy owners would probably like, but those five touchdowns he had heading into Week 13 really weren’t that bad. He had also avoided fumbling, losing the ball just once.
