Christian Ponder Fantasy Update: Minnesota Vikings QB Sets Rookie Team Record With 381 Yards

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder set a team rookie record with 381 passing yards against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He completed 29 of 47 passes and threw three touchdowns passes. But he also threw two interceptions that proved costly for both the Vikings and his fantasy owners.

Ponder has struggled with accuracy in his rookie season, but connected on a season-high 68 percent of his passes at Atlanta last Sunday. He still has yet to top 250 passing yards and thrown the same number of interceptions as touchdowns (six). Ponder also has two touchdown passes in both home starts this year before this week.

Ponder had 1,141 yards and a 72.6 passer rating on the year before Sunday’s game. He was also 8-of-9 for 51 yards and three touchdowns in the red zone.
