In big fantasy news, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster returned to practice on Wednesday. Coach Gary Kubiak has not indicated whether he is likely to play on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, but the fact that he is practicing would be a strong indication he'll play this weekend. We'll have to have to wait and see how he does in practice and how he feels tomorrow.
Arian Foster Injury Update: Texans RB Returns To Practice Wednesday
The return to practice is significant for a couple reasons. The first is just the fact that he has missed practice with the hamstring injury and getting back on the field is a huge step towards getting back on the field in a game. The second reason is that Kubiak said on Monday the running back is not a position where a player can miss the entire week of practice and then play on Sunday. The inference being that if Foster did not practice this week, he would not play on Sunday.
If Foster is a go for Sunday, he becomes a must start. There's always the chance he could tweak the hamstring, but it's generally a risk you have to live with each week. If he practices Thursday and Friday and there are no issues with the hamstring, the only concern is Ben Tate taking some of his carries following a strong opening week performance. We'll update the start status though later this weekend.
