Brandon Lloyd, Knowshon Moreno Injury Update: Both Sit Out Second Day Of Practice

The Denver Broncos sat out several veteran players for a second straight day as they continue to try and recover from a physical loss to the Oakland Raiders. The players sat included Knowshon Moreno, Brandon Lloyd, Champ Bailey, Elvis Dumervil, and D.J. Williams. The Broncos have a short week following the MNF loss as they face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday in Denver.

Moreno and Lloyd both have been dealing with some nagging injuries this week, but the Broncos have yet to make any roster moves. They have some practice squad options they could later in the week, but the lack of a move would seem to indicate a somewhat positive status for both Moreno and Lloyd.

At the same time, given the Broncos struggles, Knowshon Moreno is not what I would qualify as a strong start for the time being. He is going to lose a decent amount of carries to Willis McGahee and the Broncos are in a bit of trouble while they try and figure out their identity and where they are at in their rebuilding process.

Brandon Lloyd on the other hand, if healthy remains a solid enough start. He had a monster breakout season in 2010 and put together a solid effort on Monday against the Raiders. Kyle Orton is not a fantastic QB but he appears set to target Lloyd fairly consistently.
