Fantasy Football Week 4 Quarterback Projections: Big Ben Breakout?

SB Nation Fantasy Football partner, playthisguy.com, uses the wisdom of crowds approach to ranking fantasy football players each week. The idea is they survey Internet sites who dispense fantasy football rankings, 19 of them this week, and combine those into one easily digestible list.

In their survey of quarterback rankings this week, they have the usual suspects at the top. Rodgers, Brady, Brees and Rivers round out the top four. But sliding up into the fifth spot is the now healthy Matthew Stafford, who is playing phenomenal ball and has a psychic link with Calvin Johnson right now. Talk about being on the same page.

Since the experts also include Tony Romo on the list, they must think the Dallas vs. Detroit game is going to be a high-powered shoot-out. Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers have had a slow start to the season, but is seems almost universally the advice gurus think Big Ben will break out this week against the Texans.

Week 4 Consensus Rankings

1. Aaron Rodgers (GB vs. DEN)
2. Tom Brady (NE @ OAK)
3. Drew Brees (NO @ JAX)
4. Philip Rivers (SD vs. MIA)
5. Matthew Stafford (DET @ DAL)
6. Michael Vick (PHI vs. SF)
7. Ryan Fitzpatrick (BUF @ CIN)
8. Ben Roethlisberger (PIT @ HOU)
9. Eli Manning (NYG @ ARI)
10. Tony Romo (DAL vs. DET)
