Mike Wallace is holding out from the Pittsburgh Steelers in protest of his contract. He is missing crucial time in training camp and is in danger of being forced to sit out the first 10 games of the regular season. Ben Roethlisberger spoke with 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh to say that Wallace has been keeping in shape on his own, however, and will be ready for the regular season once he finally decides to rejoin the team.
Mike Wallace In Shape And Ready According To Ben Roethlisberger: Fantasy Implications
Ben Roethlisberger told 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh that Mike Wallace is in shape and will be ready for the regular season. We break down the fantasy implications.

“I talked to Mike several days back. It was his birthday, I gave him a call to wish him happy birthday and see how he was doing,” Roethlisberger said. “Mike’s training hard. He’s training with his helmet on just like he would be here. So he’s doing a lot of things. And without getting into the details of all the things I don’t want to get involved with, I have confidence he’ll be here and ready to go for the season.”
Analysis: Wallace is one of the best deep threats in the NFL, so he may still be worth a relatively early flyer in fantasy drafts despite his unsettled contract status. Just be forewarned that his numbers did drop over the second half of last season. Wallace caught just 29 passes for 393 yards and three touchdowns in his final eight games. Meanwhile Antonio Brown's numbers went up, and he happens to have just signed an extension with the team.
