The New England Patriots have ruled out Rob Gronkowski against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11.
Rob Gronkowski injury update: TE out for Patriots, fantasy owners
The Pats may be without their star tight end, which means they’d just rely more on their other stud tight end.

Gronk suffered an injury to his lung on a big hit from Earl Thomas during last week’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The injury has been described as a chest injury and a punctured lung. The former is believed to be the issue, but regardless, Gronk is out Sunday after not practicing any this week.
It is hard to say if Gronk will return in Week 12 against the New York Jets, but it should not keep him sidelined for too long. Then again, New England is notorious for muddying the waters with injuries to the point that it is never safe to project return dates.
Fantasy Impact: With Gronk out this week, backup tight end Martellus Bennett becomes a great pickup and starter on your fantasy team. That will hold true until Gronk returns.
