Arnold Palmer Invitational 2011 Leaderboard Update: Martin Laird Keeps Lead, Tiger Woods Fades Again

On Saturday in Orlando, Martin Laird managed to hold onto the lead at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Tiger Woods, meanwhile, finds himself in familiar territory.

Laird, in search of his second career PGA Tour win, shot a respectable 2-under for the day. He struggled late with back-to-back bogeys on the 14th and 15th hole, but still holds a two-stroke lead over the rest of the field at 11-under for the tournament.

Laird is trailed by Spencer Levin, who also had trouble on the back nine with back-to-back bogeys. Levin is in search of the third PGA Tour win of his career. After a strong Round 3 that included an eagle on the 6th hole, Bubba Watson has moved into a tie for third, four strokes behind the lead.

Tiger Woods, a noted golf enthusiast, experienced yet another third-round slump. He endured a 2-over day on Saturday in typical up-and-down fashion -- he sandwiched an eagle between two bogeys, while committing a double bogey on the back nine. He now sits at 1-under, a full 10 strokes behind the lead.

This is how the top of the leaderboard looks entering Sunday’s play:

1. Martin Laird (-11)
2. Spencer Levin (-9)
T3. Bubba Watson (-7)
T3. Steve Marino
T5. David Toms (-6)
T5. Rickie Fowler
7. Four tied (-5)
