The Memorial Tournament Leaderboard Update: Chris Riley Takes Clubhouse Lead

Nearly all of the Memorial Golf Tournament’s field has teed off at Muirfield Village. And Chris Riley is now your clubhouse leader.

Riley shot a 6-under 66 in his first round at the Memorial, and holds a one-shot lead on Josh Teater, still on the course, and a two-shot lead on both Steve Stricker and Rickie Fowler, done with their first round 4-under 68s.

Riley’s round was tumultuous at first and steady at the end: after five birdies and two bogeys on the back nine, he sprinkled three birdies into a bogey-free front nine, wresting the lead from Teater and Stricker with the day’s best score so far.

Defending champion Justin Rose has also finished his first round. He fired a 1-under 71.

You can catch highlights from first and second round action at the Memorial Tournament on The Golf Network between 3 and 6 p.m. EST on Thursday and Friday. CBS will have live Memorial coverage Saturday and Sunday.
