2011 AT&T National, Leaderboard Update: KJ Choi Leads After Two Rounds
The player who seems to be in the best position to catch or even overtake Choi is countryman Charlie Wi. Through 10 holes he is at -4 for the day and -5 for the tournament.
Choi began to make his charge on the 446-yard, par 4 No. 4 hole where his birdie kickstarted a run of five birdies in his his next six holes. He only had one bogey in the round, giving one back on the par 4 No. 11 hole. But he was able to get back-to-back birdies on Nos. 15 and 16.
Co-first round leaders Hunter Haas and Adam Scott both fell back with over par performances. Scott now sits in eighth after shooting a 71 and Haas went all the way back to 30th after a 74 that included a double-bogey on No. 10.
