2011 British Open Tee Times, Pairings: Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickleson In Marquee Groups

With a major championship now on his resume, Northern Irishman and 2011 British Open favorite Rory McIlroy will feel like he has every chance at putting last year’s British Open disappointment behind him to compete for the title in this year’s tournament. He’s in one of the headlining groups in the first two rounds of the tournament, as he’ll be playing with young American star Rickie Fowler and veteran Ernie Els. Their Thursday tee time is 9:09 A.M. BST, and they tee off on Friday at 2:10 P.M. BST.

Phil Mickelson is also in one of the best groups of the first two rounds, as he’ll be playing with Martin Kaymer and Louis Oosthuizen. England’s two darlings are also in headline groups, with Lee Westwood, Steve Stricker and Charl Schwartzel playing as one group, and Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia and Ryo Ishikawa playing in another. The entire list of groups and tee times can be found below, via the BBC. All times below are BST, which is five hours ahead of Eastern Time. The first time is the Thursday tee-off time and the second time is the Friday tee-off time.
