ESPN’s end-to-end coverage of the British Open will begin at 4 a.m. eastern on Thursday and be carried live all the way through to the end of the tournament. Each broadcast day will start at 4 a.m. and be carried live all the way through the final hole. Coverage will take place on ESPN as well as online at ESPN3.com. On Saturday and Sunday, ABC is currently scheduled to start their broadcast at 3 p.m., although on Sunday the Women’s World Cup final may be moved to ABC from ESPN.

In addition to ESPN’s coverage, the BBC will carry the broadcast to English speakers in Europe both over the air and on their website. The tournament will also be live-streamed on The Open Championship’s official website. There is also an iPhone app, as well as an Android app that will carry daily highlights.
The first group to tee off will include Jerry Kelly, Nathan Green and Danny Willett. The broadcast will pick up right around the time the group that includes Ernie Els, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler tees off. Ben Curtis, the American who won the tournament the last time it was held at Royal St. George’s, tees off one group earlier.
