Highlights of the early morning play before the broadcast include Anthony Kim teeing off at 2:25, Y.E. Yang at 2:58, Padraig Harrington at 3:20, Bubba Watson and Jason Day at 3:42 and Jim Furyk at 3:58.
Once the broadcast begins, so do most of the fireworks, with the first group going out at 4:09 comprised of Lee Westwood, Steve Stricker and Master’s Champion Charl Schwartzel.
Defending champion Louis Oosthuizen, who stands a 2-over-par after the first round, is in the next group with German Martin Kaymer and Phil Mickelson, teeing off at 4:20, followed by co-leader Tom Lewis, paired up with Tom Watson again, at 4:31.
Rory McIlroy will try to not completely disappoint everyone again starting at 9:10, with Ernie Els and fellow wünderkind Rickie Fowler.
