Play will pick back up on Sunday after dangerously high winds forced the third round to be suspended at the 2012 Humana Challenge. The plan is to squeeze in what’s left of the third round as well as the entire fourth round of the tournament in one day.
Humana Challege 2012: TV Schedule, Tee Times, Pairings For Sunday
Amateurs are officially done for the tournament, allowing the pros to pair up and speed things along. Play will begin again at 7:30 a.m. PT (10:30 a.m ET). Tournament officials hope that the fourth round can tee off between 10:00 a.m. and noon on the West coast.
Mark Wilson leads by three streaks over Ben Crane heading into Sunday. Wilson had just birdied on the 15th hole when play was stopped, and is still at 5-under for the day with three more holes left to play. Crane began the third round tied for the lead with Wilson and David Toms before falling back with 2-under on what has been deemed a relatively easy professional course. Zach Johnson sits one shot back from Crane with 6-under through 13 holes. Three players are tied for fourth with 16-under for the tournament.
The exact pairings for the rest of the third round, as well as for the fourth, have not been released now that the amateurs are out. The Golf Channel will have television coverage from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET. You can also catch live coverage from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on SIRIUS-XM.
