CIMB Classic 2012: TV schedule, tee times, pairings for Thursday

The first round of the 2012 CIMB Classic will tee off late Wednesday night in the United States, with Kevin Na and Pat Perez teeing it up at 7:50 p.m. ET. It’s a limited field event at The MINES Resort in Kuala Lumpur, so the Tour will be sending players off one tee in groups of two. The headliner, Tiger Woods, will anchor the first day in the final pairing with Marcus Fraser, an Aussie with two Euro Tour wins.

Golf Channel will have the first-round broadcast, coming on the air at midnight and carrying coverage until 4 a.m. ET. Woods will undoubtedly be a focus of much of the late-night broadcast, but the three groups ahead of him feature some of the top American players in the world. Bo Van Pelt, Jason Dufner, and Nick Watney are all staggered in the three groups ahead of Woods, with those final four tee times occupying much of the broadcast. A conscious effort was made to match up some of the PGA Tour’s best with some of the greats on the Asian Tour. Here’s a complete list of first-round tee times, all times Wednesday ET:
