Rory McIlroy is not spending his off-season shopping for wedding venues -- at least not yet, according to his main squeeze Caroline Wozniacki.
Rory McIlroy, Caroline Wozniacki are not engaged -- yet

The former No. 1 in women’s tennis took to Twitter to refute a rumor that she and golf’s best player were preparing to walk down the aisle. Wozniacki popped the balloon of Sascha Bajin, Serena Williams’ hitting partner, who tweeted on Monday what turned out to be a premature congratulatory message to the distaff half of sports’ power couple, Wozzilroy.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Wow! Just heard that @<a href="https://twitter.com/carowozniacki">carowozniacki</a> got engaged... Congratulations. Show us the ring. When is the big day planned for?</p>— sascha Bajin (@BigSascha) <a href="https://twitter.com/BigSascha/status/273106121248612353" data-datetime="2012-11-26T16:49:08+00:00">November 26, 2012</a></blockquote>

And you know I would never start rumors. Some birdie told me a lie I guess. While USA Today suggested the whole thing was a Twitter prank, Wozniacki may have initiated the kerfuffle when she crashed McIlroy’s press conference during last week’s World Tour Challenge in Dubai.
“If you win this week,” Wozniacki asked her long-time playing partner, “am I going to get a really nice Christmas present, and what am I going to get?”
McIlroy, who did earn his fifth worldwide victory of the 2012 season and promised his honey that Santa would deliver a “nice present,” was too busy praising the USGA and R&A for their proposal to ban anchored putting to weigh in on the wedding rumors.
