Heisman Trophy candidate Johnny Manziel trades in his football cleats for golf spikes on his 20th birthday.

Manziel was in Orlando, Fla., for Thursday night’s College Football Awards, where he’ll contend for both the Maxwell Award and the Davey O’Brien Award. In a tuneup for his primetime appearance on ESPN, Johnny Football teed it up with his teammate, offensive lineman Luke Joeckel, as well as College GameDay’s Chris Fowler and ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, according to the Dallas Morning News.
While scores for the foursome were not forthcoming, Fowler treated Manziel fans with a Twitpic photo of the redshirt freshman QB, sans shoulder pads or helmet.
