Sean O’Hair and Kenny Perry barely held off Charles Howell III and Rory Sabbatini on Sunday at the Franklin Templeton Shootout to take the tournament. The duo finished with a 31-under score for the weekend, one better than their challengers.

O’Hair and Perry had a great day on Saturday to take a two-shot lead into the final day, which looked like a semi-comfortable lead with the way they were playing. They even turned in a 12-under final round, but Howell III and Sabbatini were scalding hot and shot 15-under on Sunday to make things tough on the eventual winners.

The scramble format used on Sunday made for low scoring all afternoon. Jason Dufner and Vijay Singh shot a 13-under on the day to claim third and Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker went 14-under to move into a tie for third. They shared the place with Stewart Cink and Carl Pettersson and first rounder leaders David Love III and Brandt Snedeker, all of whom were 27-under for the weekend.
