The PGA Tour season is over, but there is still money to be made thanks to the challenge season. Players go around playing in silly, sometimes gimmick tournaments for a big wad of cash and get to hang out for a week in a cool place. It’s not a bad gig, is it? Sean O’Hair and Kenny Perry sure don’t think so after winning the Franklin Templeton Shootout and $375,000 each for a week in Naples, Florida.

The Franklin Templeton Shootout sees PGA Tour pros playing in pairs for three days. The first round is a modified alternate shot, the second is better ball and the final day is a scramble. The result is a 31-under score for a richer O’Hair and Perry.

Charles Howell II and Rory Sabbatini picked up $235,000 each for their second place finish and Jason Dufner and Vijay Singh earned $140,000 for their third place efforts.

Even Mark Calcavecchia and Mike Weird, who finished dead last and 21 shots off th leader, earned a cool $70,000 each.
