AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am 2012: Tiger Woods Bogeys Two Straight While Phil Mickelson Extends Lead

A pretty shot from the bunker for birdie on 12 set Tiger Woods up for what could have been a run at Phil Mickelson atop the leaderboard at the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Sunday. Instead, Woods fell apart on 14 and 15, bogeying both to put himself 8-under for the tournament and eight shots back from Mickelson.

Woods hit a camera man on his third shot of the 14th hole. He hit the green from the gallery on his fourth shot, but he misplayed the pitch and the ball rolled back onto the edge of the rough. Two shots later and he finally made bogey. He bogeyed on 15 after missing a 3-foot putt for par.

Mickelson has apparently soaked all of the confidence that Woods used to have, making back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14 to expand his lead to three shots over Ricky Barnes at 16-under for the tournament. Lefty had no trouble playing the green on 14, getting a nice roll back on his third shot to put the ball within six feet of the pin from 96 yards out.
