On Thursday, the opening round of the 2012 Masters in Augusta got underway. The best golfers in the world are battling it out for the top prize in the PGA, the elusive green jacket that denotes a Masters victory.

Tiger Woods is in search of his fifth green jacket, which would put him just one victory behind Jack Nicklaus’ record of six Masters wins. Should Woods pull off the win here in Augusta, it would also mark his 73rd career PGA Tour win, tying Nicklaus for second on the all-time wins list.

Through the first 10 holes of his opening round on Thursday, Woods is at 2-under, tying him with Jason Dufner in fourth place. Henrik Stenson is the leader at 6-under through 11 holes, followed by Paul Lawrie and Scott Verplank at 3-under.

Woods picked up his third birdie of the day on hole 10, playing steady golf apart from his bogey on hole seven.
