The Players Championship 2012: Tiger Woods Struggling, Blake Adams Leads

Most of golf’s biggest names haven’t teed off yet and a very select few have finished their rounds on the first day of The Players Championship, but Tiger Woods is already eight shots off the lead. He’s had an up and down day with three birdies and five bogeys, putting him at two-over par through 12 holes.

Kevin Na, who is six-under par through 15 holes, is tied for the lead. He’s joined on top of the leaderboard by Blake Adams, who finished his round with a 66. Ian Poulter is one shot off the lead at five-under through 13 holes. Last week’s winner, Rickie Fowler is currently one-under through 12 holes. Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy have yet to start their rounds and will tee off on Thursday afternoon.
