The Players Championship 2012: Zach Johnson Overtakes Leaderboard; Phil Mickelson 6-Back

The second round of the 2012 Players Championship is in full swing and there has been plenty of movement on the leaderboard.

Zach Johnson took the lead, thanks to a second round 6-under 66. Johnson is 8-under par for the tournament, two strokes ahead of a group of six players currently tied for second place. Martin Laird, who was tied for the lead after the first round, is one of the players currently tied for second at 6-under par. Phil Mickelson shot a 1-under 71 for the second straight day, leaving him in a tie for 29th place at 2-under par for the tournament.

John Huh made a strong push in round two, moving up 95 spots into a tie for 19th with a 6-under par second round. Rory McIlroy, the current No. 1 ranked player in the world, did not fare as well as Huh. McIlroy shot a 4-over 76 in the second round, dropping him 60 spots into a tie for 115th at 4-over par for the tournament.
