Tiger Woods may not be the best golfer in the world any longer but, for good or for ill, he remains the most entertaining to watch. After finishing at 2-over in the first round of the 2012 Players Championship, Woods rebounded on Friday in the second round at TPC Sawgrass in Florida on Friday.
Tiger Woods Finishes 2nd Round Of The Players Championship At 2-Under
Woods started off strong but began to wilt in the back nine. For a few holes, it looked as though he would miss the cutoff line for the tournament, which was projected at even par. Woods fell to 1-under with a few holes remaining and appeared to be in danger of missing his second straight cut. A lovely draw shot out of the rough on hole 15 allowed him to go up and down for birdie on the par-5 and he returned to 2-under.
Woods managed to hold on for par over the last three holes and finished at 2-under, making the cut.
