World Golf Rankings 2012: Luke Donald Regains No. 1 Spot

Following his win at the 2012 BMW PGA Championship, Luke Donald regained the No. 1 spot atop the 2012 World Golf Rankings, ahead of Rory McIlroy. Donald dominated at Wentworth Club, shooting 11-under for a four-stroke victory over his next closest competitor.

Donald and McIlroy have traded the title several times this year. McIlroy held the title for three consecutive weeks after his second-place finish at the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship, until Donald put on a show for the PGA Championship. McIlroy, meanwhile, struggled mightily at Wentworth, missing his second consecutive PGA cut.

Here is the Top 10 for this week.

1) Luke Donald
2) Rory McIlroy
3) Lee Westwood
4) Bubba Watson
5) Matt Kuchar
6) Justin Rose
7) Hunter Mahan
8) Jason Dufner
9) Tiger Woods
10) Steve Stricker
