Memorial Tournament 2012: Tiger Woods Finishes First Round 1 Stroke Off Lead

Thursday marks the first day in the 2012 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Many of the nation’s top golfers have already completed their opening rounds at the course designed by Jack Nicklaus and the top of the leaderboard is mighty crowded.

There are currently five players tied atop the leaderboard at 3-under. Blake Adams and Andres Romero have finished their opening rounds, while Aaron Baddeley, Robert Garrigus and Rory Sabbatini have just a couple holes left to claim the outright lead. Close behind are a trio of golfers at 2-under, including Tiger Woods, who is hoping to extend his lead as the player with the most all-time wins in the memorial tournament.

Woods, who began on the back nine on Thursday, faltered just once, as he double-bogeyed on the 18th hole.

You can find a full, live leaderboard here.
