Memorial Tournament 2012: TV Schedule, Tee Times, Pairings For Friday

The second round of the 2012 Memorial Tournament begins early Friday morning in Dublin, Ohio at the design masterpiece of Jack Nicklaus, Muirfield Village. The course played particularly difficult on Thursday, and while not yielding a super-low round, plenty of players were under par and within a couple shots of the top of the leaderboard. Tiger Woods shot a first-round 70 and is on the first page of the leaderboard at 2-under. Woods estimated the greens were running at a 14 on the stimpmeter and confirmed the extremely tough course conditions, which could be ameliorated by the rain in the Friday forecast.

Golf Channel will provide the broadcast from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. There will be plenty of afternoon storylines to focus on, with Woods scheduled to tee off at 1:05 p.m. ET. Just one group ahead of Woods will be No. 1 player in the world Luke Donald and Rory McIlroy, who battled during an ugly first nine but came in with a red number at 1-under. With an 80 percent chance of rain at a tournament that’s historically plagued by inclement weather, there could be a significant delay during the second round.
