During a round where he recorded what commentator Peter Oosterhuis referred to as “the worst three-putt of his career”, Tiger Woods finds himself at 2-over par at the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club.
WGC-Bridgestone Invitational 2012: Tiger’s Putter Fails Once Again
The above remark came at Tiger’s expense after he made bogey at no. 7 after reaching the green in regulation but proceeded to three-putt. As is usually the case when Woods plays poorly, the flatstick caused more harm than good during Friday’s second round. Woods struggled most of the day, recording four bogeys and only two birdies en route to a disappointing 2-over 72 on the day.
Meanwhile, Jim Furyk maintains his comfortable tournament lead at 11-under par after firing a 66 in his second round as a follow-up to the 63 he managed yesterday. Rafael Cabrera-Bello remains close behind at 9-under after a 65, besting Furyk’s round by one shot.
