Charles Barkley Wants Tiger Woods To ‘Blast’ Greg Norman

If it were up to Tiger Woods’ pal, Charles Barkley, the former No. 1 would have ripped Greg Norman a new one after the Aussie had the audacity to dis his guy. Saying he was “disappointed” that Woods took a pass on defending himself against Norman’s nonsensical claim that Rory McIlroy “intimidated” the current No. 2, Barkley, in a recent radio interview on “The Waddle & Silvy Show,” went on a toot.

“I would like him to just blast Greg Norman,” Barkley said. “I’m not a high road guy. I wanted him to come out and really blast Greg Norman: ‘Hey dude, what the hell are you taking about? I’ve got a lot more victories than you, I’ve got a ton more majors than you.’

“I don’t understand why he just lets people treat him any kind of way, I really don’t,” said Barkley, who noted that trash talking was part of sports.

“Ain’t nothing better than talking trash [to former NBA superstars like Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller, and Larry Bird],” the ex-hoops standout said. “That’s part of the game.”

Of course, were Woods to do as Barkley suggested each time a Brandel Chamblee, Johnny Miller, or Nick Faldo criticized him, he’d have no time to practice his golf game -- a game that seemed to be MIA in Tiger’s second round (3-over 73 on Friday) at the Tour Championship.
