It’s not news that Barack Obama likes to play pickup basketball or tee it up whenever he can, and the most powerful man in the world has had some interesting playing partners during his tenure as president. But this weekend, Obama was joined by 6’10 Alonzo Mourning in South Florida at the Grande Oaks Golf Club, the same layout where the movie Caddyshack was filmed.

Not your everyday Saturday foursome of hackers.

And the AP grabbed some photos of Obama chatting up Mourning on Saturday (please ignore the SI Golf typo of Mourning’s first name -- he’s not nicknamed ‘Zo for nothing):

Mourning, now a VP in the Heat front office, spoke to the Sun Sentinel about the entire experience, which he called “surreal” and a “dream come true” (via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel):
“When we left, he handed me the scorecard,” Mourning said. “It read, ‘Thanks for carrying us today.’ ”
Seven-feet tall is not the ideal height for a quality golf swing, as Yi Jianlian demonstrated recently and Yao Ming displayed last year. Mourning did not share his score, but it’s a good bet he wasn’t as sharp as Obama’s playing partner the last time he teed it up in the area -- Tiger Woods.
