The PGA Tour’s West Coast swing is coming to a close, but for one more week, the pros will tee it up in California. This week they’re at Riviera Country Club for the annual stop in Los Angeles, the last full-field event of the month. Riviera is one of the classic layouts on Tour, and last year’s tournament was one of the best of the year as Phil Mickelson, Keegan Bradley, and Bill Haas all went to a playoff.
Northern Trust Open 2013 odds: Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia listed as favorites
After a middling week at Pebble Beach, Phil returns to Southern California as the favorite at Riviera.

After Mickelson and Bradley sank two memorable putts on the 18th green, Haas cleaned up in the playoff for his first win of 2013. The 2011 FedExCup champ has not won since, but he joins both Mickelson and Bradley this year again as three of the favorites to win it. Mickelson has the lowest odds, but he struggled last week finishing near the bottom of the post-cut field at Pebble Beach. He’s won here multiple times and he’s the biggest name in the field, however, making him the oddsmakers’ favorite.
Several European golfers will also be making their 2013 PGA Tour debut in advance of next week’s Match Play event. Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald are listed among the favorites this week, while Graeme McDowell also has 55/1 odds in his first event of the year. Here’s a list of some of the favorites heading into Thursday, courtesy of Bovada:
Phil Mickelson -- 12/1
Sergio Garcia -- 16/1
Charl Schwartzel -- 18/1
