Sang-Moon Bae leads the field at the 2013 Northern Trust Open in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Friday. He finished 6-under on the day, putting him in the lead at 9-under overall. Just behind him are John Merrick and Luke Donald, both tied at 8-under overall through 18 and 16 holes, respectively.

Bae and Donald are so far the biggest risers on the day, both at 6-under. Bae has birdied nine holes, and made bogey on three.
