Not that he needs it, but Phil Mickelson added to his massive career-earnings total with another $1 million-plus pot thanks to his win at the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Mickelson dominated all week at TPC Scottsdale, and became just the third player in tournament history to win the event three times.

It’s another big payday for Phil Mickelson, who captured his 41st career win on Sunday at TPC Scottsdale.

Before this week, Mickelson was second all-time in career winnings, bagging an estimated $66 million. This was his 41st career win, but he’s obviously been in contention and at the top of the money on a consistent basis. Mickelson makes much of his yearly salary through endorsement deals, and he repeatedly plugged his new Callaway Razr Fit Xtreme this week as a reason for the win.
Of course, the new prize money will immediately prompt jokes about Phil’s thoughts on California’s onerous taxes, but he’ll take those jabs much better than he did two weeks ago now that he has an early season win under his belt.
