The 2013 Tampa Bay Championship is set to begin on Thursday, and Adam Scott is the early betting favorite.
Tampa Bay Championship 2013 odds: Adam Scott the early favorite
Adam Scott is the favorite in the Tampa Bay Championship, but who is the best bet for the weekend?

Scott, fresh off his final round 64 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, is a 12/1 favorite according to Bovada. Scott led last week’s field in total driving, a skill which could give him an advantage on the Copperhead course at the Innisbrook Resort. Looking at the prop bets, Scott is +300 to finish in the top five and a 20/1 favorite to hold the lead after the first round.
Behind Scott, Luke Donald, Matt Kuchar and Sergio Garcia are tied for the second-best odds at 16/1. Donald and Garcia are also +300 to finish in the top five, while Kuchar is +450. Webb Simpson at 18/1 and Jason Dufner at 20/1 round out the top five. Donald, Kuchar and Garcia are also 20/1 favorites to lead after the first round.
Jim Furyk sits just behind the leaders at 22/1, and may be the best bet for the money. Furyk has a nice track record at the Tampa Bay Championship, including a win in 2010 and a playoff loss last year. He is +550 to finish the event in the top five.
