The full field is now out on the course for Sunday’s final round at the 2013 Tampa Bay Championship, and Florida native Boo Weekley has made a charge up the leaderboard to share the lead with Kevin Streelman. Weekley has wandered in the wilderness since he burst onto the scene at the 2008 Ryder Cup in Kentucky, and he has not won a PGA Tour event since Harbour Town in 2008. A come-from-behind win at Copperheard would earn him just his second career berth at The Masters next month. With two holes to play, he’s carded eight birdies and avoided a bogey as he makes a back-nine move towards the top. He’s moved 34 spots up into first, but the leaders and final groups still have plenty of holes ahead of them to pass the 8-under mark.
Tampa Bay Championship 2013 leaderboard: Boo Weekley makes move, Jim Furyk hanging around
Boo Weekley is hoping to earn a Masters berth with a come-from-behind Sunday win but he’s at the end of his final round and he’ll have to hope the final groups struggle coming in.

Jim Furyk was the biggest name on the first page of the leaderboard at the start of the day, and he opened his round with birdie on the first hole to get to 6-under. Furyk has played just four holes so far so it’s likely he will eventually get to 8-under before the day is over. But he’ll need to keep pace with the others, including Streelman, who have just as many birdie opportunities ahead of them. It would be a huge win for Furyk in advance of The Masters, as he talked recently about how he had to get away after the rough end to a 2012 season that included heartbreaking final day losses at Firestone and the Ryder Cup. This would be a nice way to reset things early in his 2013 season.
Here’s a snapshot of the current leaderboard as the final round progresses:
| Score | Player | Thru |
| Boo Weekley | -8 | 16 |
| Kevin Streelman | -8 | 4 |
| Greg Chalmers | -6 | 6 |
| Jim Furyk | -6 | 4 |
| Jordan Spieth | -6 | 7 |
| Justin Leonard | -6 | 4 |
| Sergio Garcia | -5 | 10 |
| Luke Donald | -5 | 6 |
| Matt Kuchar | -2 | 10 |
