Tiger Woods’ commercials are popping up everywhere these days, but his most recent Nike promo has nothing to do with golf.
Tiger Woods appears in skateboarder Eric Koston’s new Nike ad

Woods, who kicked off the ad season by co-starring with Rory McIlroy in a humorous stint for Nike Golf, hit YouTube with a turn as a Dick’s Sporting Goods sales guy pushing the Covert VR_S driver (even though he does not use one himself).

And, of course, there was that laugh-out-loud “He’s coming” spot that also featured the new red big stick.

Now, Woods appears in a supporting role in an ad for skateboarder Eric Koston’s new signature shoe, the “Eric Koston 2,” from Nike SB.

Check out this behind-the-scenes video about the making of the ad, in which Tiger talks about his own skateboarding prowess and compares Koston’s chosen sport to his own:

“I grew up riding pools and doing halfpipes,” Woods says. “If there is any parallel [with golf], it’s balance. Obviously, you’ve got to have power but you’ve got to have...balance.”
As for Koston's skills on the links, the skateboarding legend -- like so many sports and Hollywood celebrities -- fancies himself something of a golf enthusiast.
