Team Albany wins the 2013 Tavistock Cup

It came down to a playoff hole, but the 2013 Tavistock Cup has a champion. Team Albany defeated Lake Nona in the first playoff to take home the prize.

Tiger Woods, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose and Tim Clark were on Team Albany. Poulter scored an even-par on Tuesday to lead Albany, and Woods was close behind with 1-over. Meanwhile, Lake Nona kept things close all day. Graeme McDowell shot 1-under par and Ross Fisher finished even to lead Nona. In the end, both teams ended up tied at 7-over par, necessitating the playoff round, which was won by Albany on the first hole.

This is the last tournament Woods will participate in until the 2013 Masters kick off on April 11. After winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational last weekend, he finds himself at the top of the world rankings.
