The Shell Houston Open begins on Thursday, and while there will be plenty of television coverage, fans looking to watch online may be out of luck.

The 2013 Shell Houston Open starts on Thursday and with Masters preparations in full swing, the field includes a number of golf’s biggest names.

Rory McIlroy headlines the field, but he will be joined by other notable players including Phil Mickelson, Keegan Bradley, Steve Stricker, Lee Westwood and Brandt Snedeker. Like all PGA Tour events, there will be plenty of television coverage.

Thursday’s first round and Friday’s second round will be broadcast by the Golf Channel with coverage running from 4 to 7 p.m. ET. When the tournament heads to the weekend, the Golf Channel and NBC will split the coverage. The Golf Channel will begin coverage both days, starting at 1 p.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. ET. Coverage will then shift to NBC for the final three hours, from 3 to 6 p.m. ET.

A number of PGA Tour events can be streamed online via the Golf Channel and NBC’s “Golf Live Extra” player, but the Shell Houston Open is not listed as one of the events available for streaming on the event schedule.
