The Florida swing continues this week with the second WGC event in the past three weeks as the PGA Tour heads to Doral for the WGC-Cadillac Championship. The annual stop at the Blue Monster in South Florida consistently draws the best players in the world, and almost all the big names are in attendance this week.
WGC-Cadillac Championship 2013: Tee times, pairings and TV schedule for Thursday
The first round at Doral features a super group with the top three players in the world, including No. 1 Rory McIlroy who’s attempting to get his game in order.

The top two players in the world, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, have had a rather unspectacular two-week stretch on Tour. Both bowed out in the first round of the WGC-Match Play in Arizona, and then failed to make much noise last week at PGA National. McIlroy made noise, but it was for all the wrong reasons as he walked off the course early in a disastrous second round, prompting a week of questions about where his head was at and how he was handling his equipment change. Rory apologized for withdrawing and handled his weekly media press conference well on Wednesday, but we’ll see if he can apply that reset on the course.
Rory will get that shot when he plays with the other top two players in the world -- Woods and Luke Donald. That super group is set to go off at 11:53 a.m. ET on the back side at Doral. With the tournament being a limited-field WGC event, nearly every group has an international superstar. Americans Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, and Steve Stricker comprise the other powerhouse grouping going off the front side. They tee off at 12:48 p.m. ET, flanked by two other groups of household names. Here’s the complete list of tee times for Thursday’s first round:

Golf Channel will have their customary coverage over the first two days of this no-cut tournament. The broadcast comes on the air at 2 p.m. ET Thursday and is scheduled to run until 6 p.m., or the conclusion of first round action. With comparatively few players out on the course, play should conclude by then -- unless of course, there’s some ridiculous weather event like we witnessed at the last WGC event.
