It’s moving day at the 2013 Masters, and Jason Day will start the round with a one-shot lead over Marc Leishman and Fred Couples. For the second straight year, the 53-year old Couples will be playing in the final group on Saturday, as he continues his 20-plus year love affair with Augusta. Last year, Couples became the oldest player ever to hold the lead heading into the weekend and he’s been steady again through two rounds this week. He and Day will anchor the afternoon, teeing off at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Masters tee times and pairings for Saturday’s round: Fred Couples, Tiger Woods highlight afternoon at Augusta
For the second straight year, Boom Boom will go off in the final pairing of the day.

One hour ahead of them will be Tiger Woods, who appeared to be headed for one of the last tee times of the day until bogeying two of his last four holes on Friday. His first ever three-putt on the 18th green dropped him to 3-under for tournament, and pushed him up to a 1:45 p.m. tee time with Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano. The two have a bit of history, as the Spaniard called Woods “beatable” and some other relatively innocuous things before a first round match in last year’s WGC-Match Play event. Tiger dispatched him, but not in the same convincing manner that he once crushed Stephen Ames, who also dared to speak up before a match play showdown. The exchange last year was a relatively minor media-driven dust-up, so there should be no issues in the pairing on Saturday afternoon.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Bubba Watson will lead things off at 9:25 a.m. on Saturday. He’ll play by himself, or more accurately, without another professional. Watson will be solo when it comes to playing with an official entrant, but he will have typical Masters spotter Jeff Knox, a member and excellent golfer, playing with him. That’s too bad, because as Jason Sobel noted, this was a great opportunity for Bubba to use his “BW1” hovercraft and zip through Augusta on his own without anyone in front of him. Our own Emily Kay even relayed that the hovercraft is in the area, parked down the street in Augusta.
After Bubba, there will be 30 more twosomes to carry us all the way through the day. Here’s the full tee sheet for Saturday:
