Billy Horschel’s first career PGA Tour tournament win comes with a nice little reward -- $1,188,000. That’s how much Horschel collected for winning the 2013 Zurich Classic at the TPC Louisiana, which had a total purse of $6,600,000.
Zurich Classic 2013 purse: Billy Horschel wins tournament, $1.19 million
Billy Horschel is $1.19 million richer after winning the 2013 Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans on Sunday.

Horschel won the tournament thanks to an eight-under 64 on Sunday, which allowed him to edge D.A. Points by one shot. The 26-year-old won the tournament in the final three holes, when he bounced back from a bogey at the 15th hole with birdies at No. 16 and No. 18 to get to 20-under for the weekend.
This tournament win was coming for Horschel. He has been one of the PGA Tour’s hottest player of late, finishing in the top three at the Shell Houston Open and Valero Texas Open, then finishing ninth at last week’s RBC Heritage. Now he has a tournament win to add to it and has him reveling in his status as one of the PGA Tour’s best young golfers. The $1.19 million doesn’t hurt either.
