Masters week officially begins Monday as players head onto the course for their initial practice rounds in advance of Thursday’s first round.
Masters TV coverage 2013: Practice rounds begin Monday
The competitive rounds don’t begin for a few days, but players will take to Augusta National on Monday for their first practice rounds.

Monday is the first of three days players will allowed to play practice rounds. While seasoned veterans are more than familiar with the layout at Augusta National, practice rounds are an opportunity to get on the course and work through any last minute issues. For amateurs, or other first timers, Monday’s practice round will likely be their first time to play through the course.
Although it won’t have the wall-to-wall media coverage that the competitive rounds have, fans can follow along with Monday’s action. The CBS Sports Network will broadcast “Live Masters - On The Range” from noon to 2 p.m. ET. The show will also be available via an online stream at Masters.com.
While players’ main focus will be on the course, a few will meet the media as well on Monday. Nicolas Colsaerts (12:30 p.m. ET), Matt Kuchar (2 p.m. ET) and Steve Stricker (2:30 p.m. ET) will be among the players holding press conferences on Monday.
Fans will be able to attend Monday’s practice round in person, with gates opening at 8 a.m. ET and closing at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET.
