Tiger Woods is always the favorite when he enters a tournament, but given his recent form and his history at Augusta National Golf Club, he starts Masters week as an overwhelming 3/1 favorite. Woods has not won at Augusta since 2005, although he’s finished inside the top 6 in five of the past six years, so he’s almost always hanging around the top of the leaderboard.
Masters odds 2013: Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy distant favorites behind Tiger Woods
At the start of Masters week, Tiger Woods is an overwhelming favorite to win his fifth green jacket.

Woods finished a professional career worst 40th last year, but things have changed dramatically since then. Tiger starts the week as the No. 1 player in the world, having won six times since he last played in The Masters. His dominance in three of four stroke play events this year propelled him back to the top of the world rankings, and ratcheted up the hype for The Masters.
At the start of the year, Tiger had slightly better odds than Rory McIlroy, the then No. 1 player in the world. But McIlroy’s 2013 struggles make him a distant second favorite, with Phil Mickelson third at 10/1. Rory played well last week in San Antonio, but given their form through the first three months of the season, Phil seems like the better bet to get another green jacket.
The longest of longshots are three former champions, who continue to cash in on their earned lifetime invitation. Ben Crenshaw, Sandy Lyle, and local Larry Mize are all 5,000/1. Even 14-year-old Tian-Lang Guan has better odds than the seniors, who are an important part of the week at Augusta. Here are the latest Monday morning odds, courtesy of Bovada:
